Ladies and gentlemen, it looks like 2022 is going to be another weird, disappointing year. When a mainstream outlet is out publishing pieces defending pedophilia, you know the world has taken a turn, and it isn’t a good one. And that’s just what USA Today did. The article was behind their paywall, but the lengthy Twitter thread teaser they decided to put up wasn’t, and man, it was quite a doozy.

They must have attended a conference Allyn Walker was presenting at before he was unceremoniously canned because they basically paraphrased several of his talking points, basically falling just short of calling pedophiles minor-attracted persons (MAPs).

The thread had since been deleted—I wonder why—but Paul Joseph Watson over at Summit News gathered them up for us.

“In recent decades, the science on pedophilia has improved. One of the most significant findings is that pedophilia is likely determined in the womb, though environmental factors may influence whether someone acts on an urge to abuse.”

I see they’re going with the Lady GaGa “born this way” theory. That’s a bold move, Cotton.

But wait, in the immortal words of Billy Mays, “There’s more!”

“When most of the public thinks of pedophilia, they assume it’s synonymous with child abuse. A pedophile is an adult who is sexually attracted to children, but not all pedophiles abuse kids, and some people who sexually abuse kids are not pedophiles.”

There’s plenty more there—and I suggest you read through the entire thread—but does everyone see where the left is going with this? If pedophilia is not an aberration, if it isn’t some kind of perversion but something programmed into one’s brain at birth, how can you deny them their right to be who they are? The same argument was used during the gay rights movement.

Furthermore, if, as the left would like, we accept that children can consent to gender transitioning as young as, what, four (?!), then what rationality can be used to prevent them from consenting to a sexual relationship with a pedophile?

These aren’t slippery slope arguments. These are natural progressions. And if you really think this isn’t happening, remember that Netflix not long ago pushed sexualized children into the “mainstream” with the movie Cuties.

All of this rationalizing of pedophilia also contradicts, as Watson points out, “other evidence that suggests pedophilia and other aberrant sexual lifestyles are actually caused by child abuse.” Pedophilia is the symptom of mental injury or illness that should be treated, not given excuses.

And if pedophiles attempt or manage to abuse children—as the club forming over at CNN has done—they should be punished accordingly. And Russia is leading the charge on that front.
