AOC: Lift Yourself Up by Your Bootstraps? "Physically Impossible" [VIDEO]
Congresswoman AOC says some really silly things. Silly, like whoa (see AOC Compares Women to Dogs, Babies to Puppies in Demands for More Family Leave and AOC: Politicians Failing Makes Her ‘Never Want to Love Again’ [WATCH]). But this one takes the cake. Though it doesn't physically take the cake. There's no actual cake involved. Even though I really want some cake now. Just watch the video.

In related news, no one has physically paid an actual arm and a leg for anything. If you were ever actually between a rock and a hard place, you could probably just step over a rock. Also, we're all physically under the weather all the time. And if you're someone who has burst into tears because a gallon of milk spilled all over your floor, there's a chance you have severe psychological problems.
According to this website, author James Joyce used the expression in his pretentious Ulysses. Which is hardly a Milton Freedman work on conservative economics.
There's probably context I'm missing here. But much like the standard CNN set when a kid in a MAGA hat stared at a protester, meh. The congresswoman is most likely spouting out the usual leftist nonsense that no one is ever able to succeed by themselves, not without the government intervening and allowing that person to succeed — even taking money away from people who did succeed on their own to give to people who didn't. Which gets to the next point: Who the hell still uses "pick yourself up by your bootstraps" as an expression any more?
Also, Ms. Ocasio-Cortez is now a congresswoman. Wasn't she a bartender before this? Let it sink in.
