Liberal economic policy trades on fear and resentment. If someone has more than you, you're supposed to hate them for it. Then, you're supposed to need the government to come in and take some away from those who have more and give it to you. Fairness! No one promotes this more on the left than Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Congresswoman AOC has had some noodle scratchers about the economy before (see AOC SAYS YOU SHOULDN'T GO BACK TO WORK. HERE'S HER DUMB REASON ... and AOC ENCOURAGES RENT STRIKE, BLAMES CAPITALISM FOR PEOPLE OWNING PROPERTY). But this tweet is pretty remarkable.

If not for billionaires, the working class wouldn't have jobs. The working class wouldn't have goods and services. If not for billionaires funding innovation, we wouldn't be working to find a vaccine for the 'rona. Yes, I realize the biotech companies have gotten a chunk of taxpayer money to get things going there. Billionaires pay the most in federal incomes taxes too. It's because of billionaires that politicians like AOC collect a taxpayer funded salary, as long as we're talking about who needs who.

Also, the phrase "working class" is a silly leftist catchphrase in the first place. MOST Americans work for a living. They work, provide for their family, save, invest, and live their lives without hating their neighbor who may have more than them, or have an easier time doing those things themselves. It has nothing to do with being in a "class." It's just living your life free from socialist politicians like AOC trying to manipulate you and turn groups of people against each other because she's power hungry.
