"No deportations of illegal immigrants" is the official Democrat position. I know that. You know that. Democrats know not to say that out loud, and distract by saying things like "authoritarianism" and "secret police." When you strip through the BS that, no, ICE agents are not just snatching people off the streets, you get the truth that Democrats want no illegal, no matter how criminal, deported. It helps to get them to admit so out loud, as Scott Jennings did with Democrat theatre kid and congressional candidate Justin Pearson.

Pearson wants not only to abolish ICE but also to abolish border patrol and customs as a whole, to quote, "replace them with something that does the work we need."

What work is that? Vibes? Papers? Running a TikTok hype house? Pearson didn't have an answer, no matter how many times Jennings asked.

"Okay... what exactly is 'the work' we need them to do?"
"Do we need a federal law enforcement agency to deport illegal aliens? Yes or No?"
"Name one illegal alien you'd deport. Just one!"

This is where messaging and President Trump's State of the Union become crucial. Recent polls have Trump underwater when it comes to border security and illegal immigration; however, those same polls still show Trump more trusted than Democrats on the issue, while Americans also support deporting all illegals while opposing abolishing ICE.

Trump's dip in approval is a combination of usual media shenanigans and, if we're being honest, messaging mishaps from the administration. Otherwise, try to make sense of Americans disapproving of his handling of border security while he has COMPLETELY SECURED THE BORDER.

A lot of the polls, particularly the ones that show as much as people may not like Trump, they dislike Democrats more, fall under this guy's thinking.

Our problem, outside of some self-inflicted wounds, is the media coverage of the issues. The left's problem is their actual positions on the issues, hence the media doing its darnedest to hide their actual positions. Pearson was expecting to spit out the Democrat party's talking points from that week with no follow-up questions. When you ask a follow-up, Democrats short-circuit. Just ask social media infleuncer Rep. AOC.

We need more people than Scott Jennings to ask the follow-ups. Especially since it's only a matter of time before CNN stops letting him ask them. It defies gravity that he's been allowed to get away with it this long.
