If you attempt to do anything to ensure only American citizens vote in American elections, the left and the media (but I repeat myself) go feral. Asking Americans to show their ID as they do for almost everything else in life will "disenfranchise" voters. At least, the black and women ones. In the eyes of the media and the left (but I repeat myself), apparently, only straight white men know how to get a photo ID without help. One of those straight white men, Scott Jennings, listened to leftists make the usual argument against voter ID, then sat back as they went "REEEEEEE" over a simple one-word question.

"How?"

This is in the aftermath of the House passing the SAVE AMERICA Act, which, if passed, would require a photo ID to vote, just like you would need to attend a Democrat town hall meeting where they claim asking for a photo ID is constitutional. While Democrats oppose voter ID, MOST AMERICANS support it.

• 83% of all Americans support, including 71% Democrats
• 82% of Latino voters support
• 76% of Black voters support

That last 76% threw a wrench in Democrat plans, because the first thing they'll do is call something raaaaaacist. When Georgia passed common-sense voter integrity laws, Joe Biden said it was "Jim Crow 2.0." Then, in the next election, Black voter turnout INCREASED. Chuck Schumer missed that memo when he attempted to say the SAVE AMERICA Act was "Jim Crow 2.0," and when he was told about the 76%... short circuit.

So now Democrats have moved on to claiming without evidence that voter ID is a direct assault on women. The schtick is that if a woman gets married and changes her last name, she'll be helpless and not know what to do.

Oh, and according to Democrats, apparently, women and Black people don't know how to Google "how do I get a replacement birth certificate?"

The SAVE AMERICA Act will, pending a miracle, get filibustered in the Senate by every Democrat to the left of John Fetterman. Then Republicans will wring their hands and claim they tried. It sucks, but it is what it is. I'm just happy to hear someone ask the left the one question Democrats can never answer when they say things like "voter ID will disenfranchise voters," or "Somalian immigrants built this country," or "no one is illegal on stolen land?"
