Man convicted of murder thinks Gavin Newsom would make an awesome president, would totally vote for him

If some of your biggest supporters are those who have been convicted of life sentences, that tells you all you need to know.
Speaking with Nick Shirley, a man said he supports Gavin Newsom, as he is the one responsible for getting him out of prison. The convict, who claimed to have been sentenced to life in prison for murder, carjacking, and robbery, claims it was Newsom who dubbed him fit to reenter society.
Someone convicted of murder being granted parole is a scandal in itself, but the fact that this is part of Newsom’s legacy speaks volumes as to what the California governor stands for.
Why is it that the left spends so much of its time granting criminals special rights, while not taking into account the victims? It is unclear if this man is truly a changed person who will now do everything in his power to remain a productive member of society, but because of him, someone’s life was taken early, and that is something that should never be up for debate.
This is not a lone occurrence, as many criminals have been let back into society after committing some of the worst crimes imaginable.
According to Fox News:
A convicted California child rapist who was set to walk free this week after controversially being granted parole acknowledged during the proceeding that he still sexually pleasured himself to children as recently as 2021, according to a transcript of the hearing.
David Allen Funston, 64, was set to walk free this week but was instead arrested after a new arrest warrant was issued in Placer County, state officials confirmed.
Not saying the man in the video will commit another heinous crime, but let’s just say it would not be surprising if he ends up back in prison.
Officials should be doing everything in their power to ensure the public is safe. Rather than do that, they uphold a fake form of progressive justice that solely relies on prioritizing the feelings of criminals. That will never put the left on the right side of history, and the fact that they call themselves the side of compassion is deeply deranged.
