Scott Jennings has enough of the left's fake news and race-baiting over redistricting, sets the record straight

.@ScottJenningsKY sets the record straight on CNN NewsNight with Abby Phillip absolutely NUKING the Left’s narrative on redistricting:
“No voter has lost their voice at all. No one’s been disenfranchised. Every voter… white, Black or otherwise, can go cast a ballot right now.”… pic.twitter.com/XTH2tcyHRN

If you were to believe Democrats or the media (but I repeat myself), you would think that the Supreme Court ruled that voters of color could no longer vote. As opposed to what SCOTUS actually did and ruled that Democrats could no longer weaponize race to draw congressional districts and claim you're raaaaaaacist for disagreeing with them. And while nothing will ever stop the media or democrats (but I repeat myself) from claiming you're raaaaaaacist for disagreeing with them, Scott Jennings has had enough.
The tl:dr of Louisiana v Callis is that while the left and the media (but I repeat myself) claim the Voting Rights Act was weakened or narrowed, it was actually interpreted correctly. SCOTUS ruled you can't draw a 250-mile salamander-shaped district through a state to connect neighborhoods based on race, specifically because they are neighborhoods based on race.
The rub is that when a court rules against democrats, it's authoritarianism and needs to be destroyed. When a court rules in favor of democrats, it's settled law and cannot be questioned. Case in point, all the times the Supreme Court has ruled in FAVOR of democrats on gerrymandering, a process that some on the left still believe Republicans created in 2010.
NAILED IT: Brad Todd on Redistricting: “In 2018, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, which is partisan and elected at the ballot box and majority Democrat, redrew Pennsylvania's map to help Democrats take over Congress in 2018. Democrats were not outraged by that.”

Because this SCOTUS decision involves the Voting Rights Act, it gives Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) the racial component they love. Because they think the only way Americans of color can get elected is if Democrats game the system for them. Especially in the South.
Never mind the fact that the current US Senator for South Carolina is a Black Republican. Or the fact that with Tennessee's new maps, the Memphis area could be represented by a Black female Republican as opposed to the old white male Democrat who represents the area. The left will still claim rights are being stripped away.
This is where Jennings calls b-b-b-bullsh*t.
I heard you say that people are losing representation. People are losing their voice. No voter has lost their voice at all. No one's been disenfranchised. Every voter in America before these court rulings could go cast a ballot this November and every voter in America, white, Black or otherwise, can go cast a ballot right now.
The lines may be changing, but every voter still has the same amount of voting power, one vote, that they had. It's just that this Supreme Court said your race doesn't necessarily have to dictate your political identity. The fact that you're an American citizen and you're franchised gives you one vote.
At the end of the day, this has little to do with race and a lot to do with politics. Democrats went from redistricting working in their favor going into the midterms (aka "democracy") to now it looks like Republicans won the redistricting war (aka "authoritarianism"). That's why the media and the left (but I repeat myself) can't calm down.
