Man threatens pastor's family, so the pastor beats the blasphemy out of him

In America, there is this little thing called “self-defense” under the law. So, while you are not legally permitted to hurt people for no reason physically, the terminology changes when the one getting beaten up allegedly threatens the other person’s family and throws the first punch. This is precisely what is believed to have happened after a Louisiana pastor was accused of attacking his neighbor, who allegedly threatened to kill his wife.

Pastor Tony Spell of Life Tabernacle Church says he was working on a church bus when the neighbor's son started shouting at him.

Per the New York Post:
Tony Spell, the 48-year-old pastor of the Life Tabernacle Church, was arrested on battery charges for beating his neighbor’s 20-year old son on Tuesday, according to WBRZ.
Spell was changing the battery of his church’s school buses when he was allegedly abused from across the four-lane road in Baton Rouge, La.
“He said, ‘Tony, I’m going to rape your wife, I’m going to rape all your grandchildren, and the next time you go out of town, I’m going to kill them,’” Spell claimed on Wednesday.
If this is what happened, which I do not find hard to believe, then the pastor’s rights may have been violated the moment police arrested him.
Spell said he had a “duty and obligation” to protect his family.
“Number one, I’m a husband, number two, I’m a father, and number three, I’m a pastor who shepherds his flock,” he said. “I will not allow a man to murder my children when I’m gone.”
Spell was charged with second-degree battery and faces up to eight years in prison.
Spell claims the truth will prevail in court.
Here is the pastor to break down what he claims happened:
During today's press conference at Life Tabernacle Church in Central, pastor Tony Spell addressed the media, saying threats from his neighbor compelled him to run across a four-lane highway and attack the man.

Yeah -- I would tend to agree that he had a “duty and obligation” to defend his family.
After he was done beating the absolute brakes off the guy who allegedly threatened to rape his wife & grandkids, Pastor Spell told his church: "I fulfilled scripture, I laid hands on the sick."
No, I’m not joking. That’s one hell of a line. 😂

LOL. But is he wrong? You can draw your own conclusions, but I don’t think this is going to end too well for his neighbor.
