Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has made headlines once again after reports that she and her fiancé had split up. This news comes after she froze her eggs online for the world to see. Today’s show breaks it down.
“Relationships where the woman wears the pants never work ever,” Crowder said. “They either end or they live in misery. Have you seen it go any other way?”
According to a 2022 article in New York Magazine, “He’s the perfect beta to AOC’s alpha—tiptoeing through the public sphere, leaving little evidence of his presence, the social equivalent of a cyclist’s carbon footprint.”
“Women want masculine men, and they certainly want to settle down with masculine men,” Crowder said. “A true man, who understands leadership, is going to opt out of leading a woman like AOC who wants to be a boss babe. It really is a prison of their own making. She is not going to respect a guy who steps away when she steps in. She is not going to respect a guy who is the beta to her alpha.”
She also told GQ that after he proposed, she said, “Oh, really? Well, you’re going to have to woo me. You’re going to have to convince me, after all this time, why I should.”
A lot of men, [AOC] told me, only believe that they want to be with an independent, successful woman.
“No, they don’t,” Crowder said. “Guys do not care.”
Now, she is freezing her eggs for the next guy, claiming it puts her in control of her life.
“Who do you think is in more control of their life? The lady who was the woman of his youth who married young, had children, stayed home to raise them, and lived the life that she wanted, making the compromises that were appropriate in that relationship. Or AOC, well into her 30s, freezing her eggs for a TBD? Doesn't control require stability? What part of this seems stable?”
