One day the left woke up and decided cultural appropriation was a thing. Subsequently, the pastime of Pocahontas Halloween costumes became racist overnight. Turns out that Miss Universe Canada contestants did not get that memo.

Per the New York Post:

An Indigenous Sports Illustrated model-turned-beauty queen slammed two Miss Universe Canada contestants who wore Indigenous-inspired outfits during the pageant, describing the attire as “cultural appropriation.”

This is such a nonissue, and the fact that this story has become national news is the only problem that exists. You need to be objectively stupid to believe they wore those costumes as a way to mock “Indigenous people.” We truly are dealing with some of the lowest IQ members of society.

Karisa Haverkamp and Jasleen Kaily donned the outfits during the national costume portion of the competition in Windsor, Ontario, on Aug. 4, according to APTN News.

Haverkamp wore a feathered headdress traditionally associated with respected Indigenous leaders in North America, along with a red handprint painted on her face, a symbol of the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls movement.

Kaily wore a costume called “Arctic Beauty,” featuring an all-fur dress, fur boots known as mukluks and two braids.

It truly is not that deep. But the left is doing what it does best and is shaming these two girls into oblivion. The only scandal worthy of mockery is the response to such a nonissue. Additionally, this is also what we call "first world problems.” The people outraged over this have no problems at all, so they manufacture outrage to make one up. Anyone enraged by this story should be embarrassed by their stupidity. It truly is astonishing.

Maybe one day these miserable leftists will find something better to do to make this world a better place, but until then, this is the best they've got. How pathetic.
