The shrill harpies from The View are the most trusted name in news by low-information suburbanites, and oy vey was the information low this week. Whoopi Goldberg wants to know when NATO is going to show up and save us from Donald Trump. Yes, that NATO. The collection of allies who agree to defend each other from countries outside of that group of allies. Which, I guess, means Whoopi thinks Trump is invading the country he was elected president in?

To be clear, this is in response to Trump removing Maduro from Venezuela and NOT the ICE agent who was put in a tragic position to shoot a woman in self-defense. Shouts to Nicholas Fondacaro of Newsbusters, who better be getting hazard pay for exposing himself to these yaks every day.

Also, keep in mind, The View is under the ABC, finger quote, "NEWS" division.

Where is everybody? Where is everybody else? We come to everybody's aid. We help everybody. NATO, they came and helped us after 9/11. Where is everybody? Because we're all -- But where is the government? Do you realize we don't have a government?!

Of all the many, many, many ways what Whoopi said is chuckleheaded, the top of the list is this. NATO only exists because of America. We are the largest military spender within NATO, by far. As in, responsible for roughly two-thirds of all NATO defense spending combined. Let's say there was a push within NATO to save America from America. The American president would say, "LOL, no."

It's not as if the left has a rational argument against arresting an indicted co-conspirator that Democrats were all about removing before Donald Trump did it. They actually attacked Donald Trump for not doing it back then. Now that he has, they are attacking him for that. TDS is a hell of an affliction.

But for THAT to be what you think other countries need to come in and save us from ourselves? It's par for the course for ABC News.
