Some have made the claim that Trump is over and the Republican Party is in desperate need of a new leader. This is a bit more complicated than some people realize. Today’s show breaks down both the good and bad when it comes to Trump’s recent record.
When it comes to negotiations with Iran, Trump said:
So, there you have it, the meeting went well, most points were agreed to, but the only point that really mattered, NUCLEAR, was not. Effective immediately, the United States Navy, the Finest in the World, will begin the process of BLOCKADING any and all Ships trying to enter, or leave, the Strait of Hormuz.
We will also begin destroying the mines the Iranians laid in the Straits. Any Iranian who fires at us, or at peaceful vessels, will be BLOWN TO HELL!
According to Bloomberg, "Iran has likely earned hundreds of millions of dollars of extra income from oil sales since the start of the war, benefiting from a surge in the price of its crude after it became the only major exporter able to use the Strait of Hormuz.”
“When you think of a blockade, you think that means no one goes through the Strait. What that really means is the Iranian ports. This blockade means no ships leave or enter the ports of Iran. The United States is going to stop any ships from entering or exiting Iranian ports, and they also said they are going to stop any ships that have paid a toll to Iran.”
The UK has confirmed it will not back the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, with zero mentions of standing behind its supposed allies. It is unclear why the country must get its oil from Iran.
“What do you mean? Do you really want to buy more oil from Iran? How about you go to someone else?” Crowder said.
China echoed similar sentiments.
"The Strait of Hormuz is an important international trade route for goods and energy, and maintaining its security, stability, and unimpeded flow is in the common interest of the international community," Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said at a news conference on Monday.
China purchases about 80 percent of Iran’s shipped oil.
“Instability is obviously going to cause oil prices to rise. I don't think it is a bad play to say we are not going to simply shut down the Strait, but we are going to get rid of the mines and Iran -- you don't get to play here anymore,” Crowder said. “It needs to play out. In principle, it is a smart move.”
When it comes to bad Trump, it would be that he posted an image that depicted him as a sort of “American Jesus.”
“It is never good to compare yourself to Jesus,” Crowder said.
Yesterday, Trump wrote on Truth Social that the Pope was “WEAK on Crime, and terrible for Foreign Policy. He talks about ‘fear’ of the Trump Administration, but doesn’t mention the FEAR that the Catholic Church, and all other Christian Organizations, had during COVID when they were arresting priests, ministers, and everybody else, for holding Church Services, even when going outside, and being ten and even twenty feet apart.”
He added that, “Leo should get his act together as Pope, use Common Sense, stop catering to the Radical Left, and focus on being a Great Pope, not a Politician. It’s hurting him very badly and, more importantly, it’s hurting the Catholic Church!”
“He is not wrong, I just think this is probably not the best time because there is a contingency of people who voted for Trump and are saying Donald Trump is a betrayer. A lot of them are Catholic, and a lot of Catholics are listening to people like Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson.”
That being said, this pope has been outspoken when it comes to a lot of things Conservatives stand for.
“We do need to meet this standard equally,” Crowder said.
For example, the pope recently said: “Where the world sees threats, she (the church) sees children; where walls are built, she builds bridges.”
“You would think that the pope would not be this tone deaf. And I do not understand why the pope thinks it is his role to speak on immigration policy. He said that importing illegal immigrants is not pro-life,” Crowder said.
He also said, “I’m against abortion, but I’m in agreement with the inhuman treatment of immigrants in the United States. I don’t know if that’s pro-life.”
Is it really inhuman to get over $2,000 and a free flight to self-deport?
“Is the Pope's view simply that you cannot enforce laws? Is the pope’s view a globalist view that there should be no such thing as borders?” Crowder said.
If the Pope were president or had a political majority, you would have a leftist government with open borders, socialism, mass welfare fraud, and no voter ID.
“This person should be discounted as it relates to political issues, but it is where he likes to sound off the most,” Crowder said.
