Clothing company Patagonia sues “Pattie Gonia” the drag queen after he refused to change his name

A drag queen who goes by the name “Pattie Gonia” is facing a trademark lawsuit against clothing brand Patagonia, but the “queen” is not backing down.
NEW: Drag queen Pattie Gonia releases video after clothing brand Patagonia smacked the climate activist with a lawsuit.
Pattie Gonia (Wyn Wiley) says the company is trying to take his name away because he is doing "irreparable" damage to their brand.

Pattie Gonia has gone viral over the past couple of years. Most notoriously, for flying a trans flag on the El Capitan rock in Yosemite.
Hey @AGPamBondi, please arrest Wyn Wiley (AKA Pattie Gonia) for vandalizing Yosemite National Park.
If predators like him aren’t held legally responsible for violating our taxpayer-funded parks, they’ll brazenly keep doing it.

Per the drag queen’s statements at the time of the incident:
“We flew the Trans pride flag in Yosemite to make a statement: Trans people are natural and Trans people are loved,” drag performer and environmentalist Pattie Gonia, one of the demonstration’s lead organizers, said in a statement. “Let this flag fly higher than hate. We are done being polite about Trans people’s existence. Call it a protest, call it a celebration — either way, it’s giving elevation to liberation.”
To call this man arrogant and narcissistic would be an understatement. Not only does he believe he is saving the world from this little thing called “weather,” but he believes he can essentially steal a trademarked name and not face repercussions, while pretending it has anything to do with his deranged identity.
Per The Guardian:
Wyn Wiley, who performs as Pattie Gonia, has accumulated millions of followers online for their environmental activism, raising almost $4m for non-profits so far. Last year they raised $1m while hiking 100 miles in full drag from Point Reyes national seashore to San Francisco.
Patagonia, which takes its name from an enormous geographical region spanning Argentina and Chile, filed its trademark infringement lawsuit against Wiley on 21 January. The suit was filed to the federal court in Los Angeles.
“While we wish we didn’t have to do this – and actively engaged with Pattie for several years to avoid this – it has become necessary to protect the brand we have spent the last 50 years building,” the company said in January.
Patagonia is also an insanely woke company. They are doing this as a last resort. However, this is precisely why you can never be woke enough. While the company loves to signal its virtue, it still knows it is a bad financial move if consumers thought the drag queen and the company were aligned in its activism.
“We want Pattie to have a long and successful career and make progress on issues that matter – but in a way that respects Patagonia’s intellectual property and ability to use our brand to sell products and advocate for the environment.”
Isn't it comical how they are forced to appease the woke mob and this deranged man’s cosplaying fantasy? They do realize they are essentially the victims in this matter, right?
This is what happens when you align yourself with leftist values, or lack thereof, as any wrong move, including protecting your intellectual property, can be enough reason for the woke mob to cancel you. It truly is pathetic.
