Watch: Zohran Mamdani Defeats Capitalism? Not So Fast...
Mayor Zohran Mamdani has decided what businesses in New York City may set their thermostats to. Today’s show breaks it down.
“New York City is a terrible place,” Crowder said. “The left is a radical party of extremists. They are not a legitimate party in the United States. And I want you to ask yourself, what would Democrats do if they were left completely unfettered, if they had all the access to power? It would look like the most Socialist countries in Europe.”
This week, Mamdani declared victory over Capitalism. However, in case it was unclear to the mayor, there was a billionaire exodus in New York, with the state losing $12 million in revenue. No worries though, as he was able to balance the city’s budget with a bail-out from the Gov. Nonetheless, he is now telling the people to turn their thermostats to 78.
“It almost seems like the left in the United States wants to emulate the Socialism you see in Europe,” Crowder said.
Triple-digit temperatures are expected for New York City. The left’s solution to this is threatening businesses not to set their thermostats above 78 degrees.
“Do you think that Socialists in power would be asking you to turn down your thermostats, or would they tell you and it would be punishable?" Crowder said, adding that you can predict the answer by looking at places like Australia during lockdowns.
“Most Socialism starts as Democratic until it is not,” Crowder said. “Mamdani is just a compulsive liar in a lot of ways.”
In other news, the New York City Council was “blindsided by Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s 11th-hour move to ax nearly 600 promised new NYPD cops from the city’s behemoth budget – leaving them bracing for more surprises,” according to the New York Post.
These funds were intended to lessen the burden of overworked cops.
“They will keep the right cops when they actually have to force you to turn off your AC. That is how it goes. There are no exceptions historically; you just find yourself in the middle of this timeline.”
