The problem with shutting the government down is that it hurts Americans struggling to make ends meet the most. The average salary of a TSA agent is around $50,000. This is lower than the average American salary. Not getting a paycheck at this pay amount likely hurts a lot of people. The Democrats should be doing everything in their power to stop their suffering, but they won't, as they have lost touch with working Americans, and they pathetically defend things no one cares about.

This is why Senator John Fetterman said what needed to be said.

According to Fetterman, TSA agents are not rich people, and that “these should be the people” the left should be “fighting for.” He added that the left knew that shutting down DHS has zero impact on shutting down ICE.

“Why are we doing this? We just don't get it,” Fetterman said. “What is it that we get out of it? All we have done is punish TSA and other employees under DHS, and made us less safe. And it created mass chaos in our air traffic system across America.”

In other words, the left has once again taken innocent Americans hostage because they fight for the fake rights of foreign nationals. So what else is new?

What is so pathetic is that the left often pretends it is all in it for the little guy, trying to make ends meet, when their policies almost always make them worse off. And the best thing they get out of it is pathetic political theater that no one is buying. To call this a slap in the face to the American people would be an understatement.
