Maryland Governor Wes Moore says he would not hesitate to allow his son to go on a trans “journey” if that made him feel more comfortable in his own skin. When Patrick Bet-David asked him to clarify if he would support his son medically transitioning as a minor and whether or not he would advise him to wait until he was 18, he implied no, he would not.

He wanted to phrase things in a way that appeases the left. This is likely why he first tried to phrase it as, “I love my son regardless of how he identifies.” The problem with this is that he implies that Conservatives will suddenly hate their children if they claim to be trans. That is not true. While I cannot speak for all of the more sane population, I can confidently confirm that most parents would still love their children even if they believe they are trans.

The difference between the right and the left is not a matter of loving one's children, but how to handle the issue. Those on the right believe the loving thing to do is teach your children that there is nothing wrong with the body God gave them, that the Lord does not make mistakes, and help them process these emotions through a logical and moral lens. The other side -- the one Moore hopes to appease -- believes trans people were, in fact, born in the wrong bodies and should do everything medically possible to change that. One of these things is not like the other.

Moore also unintentionally pointed to one of the biggest flaws of this ideology: that children ought to dictate these types of procedures. In other words, an affirmative model. This is a problem because one -- it turns the children into the authority figure, and two -- it affirms a mental delusion. As far as I know, there is no mental health disorder where we affirm a patient's confusions.

To sum it all up, Moore could not be more wrong if he tried, and it is totally deranged and immoral to medically or socially transition a minor, no matter how much they claim to feel the opposite gender. Don't know why the left finds this so controversial, but to claim they are on the wrong side of history would be an understatement.
