🔥 from Vice President @JDVance on media coverage of yesterday's events in Minneapolis...
“When I was actually walking out here, somebody sent me a photo of a CNN headline about what happened in Minneapolis. And this is the headline. I will just read it: ‘Outrage after ICE… pic.twitter.com/g6L7pfIrEU

Did you know that the agent who was almost run over by the woman involved in the ICE shooting yesterday “nearly had his life ended,” and was “dragged by a car six months ago,” which resulted in “33 stitches in his leg”? You probably didn’t, because outlets like CNN don’t want you to know that.
While I am sure you know that the woman “was there to interfere with a legitimate law enforcement operation in the United States of America,” did you know that she is “part of a broader left-wing network to attack, to dox, to assault, and to make it impossible for our ICE officers to do their job”? If you didn’t know that, it’s because places like CNN refuse to do their job.
This is why Vice President JD Vance said what needed to be said.
According to Time:
Speaking from the White House briefing room, Vance described the episode as “an attack on federal law enforcement” and “an attack on the American people,” arguing that rhetoric from the left had radicalized a small group of activists and placed officers in danger. At times raising his voice, he characterized media coverage questioning the actions of Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents as “an absolute disgrace” and insisted that the officer involved had acted to save his life.
The media has created a culture where leftists feel emboldened to act violently towards federal agents. This should not be tolerated any more than it has been, and it is a disgrace to the brave men and women of ICE.
“This is a guy who’s actually done a very, very important job for the United States of America,” Vance said of the agent, noting that the officer had previously been struck twice by vehicles in the past six months, once suffering injuries that required more than 30 stitches. “He’s been assaulted, he’s been attacked. He’s been injured because of it. He deserves a debt of gratitude.”
Again, you do not know that because the media’s goal is to paint the officer as the criminal. When in reality, he did what he thought needed to be done to save his life. And maybe his actions did save his life. We don’t know, but he shouldn’t have to take that risk.
Federal officials have said the officer shot 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good after she allegedly used her car as a weapon during what they described as a legitimate law enforcement operation. President Donald Trump reiterated that account on social media, calling the shooting an act of self-defense, while Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said the woman had been “stalking” agents.
Vance concluded that this was “a tragedy of her own making.” That sums it up perfectly. Again, it is tragic when someone loses their life, but according to common sense, this was 100% preventable. What’s even more sad is that she chose to act so recklessly while having a son.
It’s bad enough that these agents have to deal with criminal aliens. The least the left can do is not commit violence against them, but because of the media’s malpractice and intentional incompetence, sadly, don’t expect anything less than more of the same.
