According to Mayor Zohran Mamdani, the previous city administration refused to release a report that indicates “a median white household in the city is more than $200,000, while that of a black household is less than $20,000.” This is why his “commitment now is to act upon these findings.” It is unclear why this is a government issue or why there is a need to correlate income with skin color, but to call this racist would be an understatement.

While Mamdani claims this is proof of “a long history of racism,” that could not be further from the truth. What this proves is that the government correlated things that do not need to be correlated, and is choosing to prioritize one skin color over another, even though White households also live below $20,000. If he is going to prize anything, why not leave it at the income level and not the race?

According to the New York Post:

The Trump administration is reviewing a “racial equity” plan released by Mayor Zohran Mamdani – with a top Department of Justice official calling the city’s proposal “fishy.”

The assistant attorney general for the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division, in a statement to The Post, threatened to “bring enforcement actions if necessary” over the long-delayed report unveiled by Mamdani on Monday.

Again, racial equity just means prioritizing one race over another. That is the undeniable definition of racism. Rather than try to make all New Yorkers better, including the ones struggling to make ends meet, despite the color of their skin, this administration has decided the morally superior thing is to slap White New Yorkers in the face, all while pretending to help out the little guy. Ironically, though, there has yet to be one shred of evidence that proves this administration has made anyone better off. Weird how that works out.

The “preliminary citywide racial equity plan” aims to get dozens of local agencies involved to “solve decades of neglect and discrimination” against black and Hispanic and Latino New Yorkers — including through mandated “anti-racism” training and pay equity for city workers.

Again, it is not the government's job to ensure the income of all races is equal. And while he claims he wants to make these people better off, what he really means is to make everyone equally worse off. Being the communist he is, though, he words it as if there is an issue that the city must address, while common sense would tell you otherwise.

“The Black Lives Matter movement has galvanized a new generation of activists, who continue to demand not only the end of police violence, but also the dismantling of all forms of systemic racism that pervade every aspect of life in New York City,” it states.

Here we go again. More police villainization, while turning criminals into the victims. The fact that this is unsurprising makes it all the more infuriating. Nothing the left does makes the public safer, as they demand an end to holding criminals accountable, all because they claim certain people can do no wrong. This is not how reality works, but this is how leftist imagination plays out. To call this pathetic would be an understatement.
