What do you think would happen if a gym banned women because it made men uncomfortable? As you can imagine, the left would have a field day, and everyone would blame sexism and misogyny. That standard does not seem to be consistent when it is the other way around. Why is that?

Men will no longer be allowed to use parts of the gym at the University of Southern California on specific days and times. This is part of the progressive pursuit to make sure women and non-binary folks are comfortable. It is unclear why men do not have the same privileges, but draw your own conclusions.

According to the New York Post:

The Student Assembly for Gender Empowerment (SAGE) pushed for the new rules in partnership with the Lyon Center, a recreational facility controlled by the university.

SAGE describes itself as a “programming assembly and intersectional feminist organization under the student government, committed to uplifting all voices oppressed by the patriarchy.”
The plan excludes men from working out in portions of the Robinson Room at the Lyon Center on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 to 11 a.m., according to the Daily Trojan student newspaper.

Question: Will trans women be allowed to work out at this time? What about men who identify as nonbinary? Because if so, then the policy is pointless.

Student Mengze Wu, a senior majoring in neuroscience, the moved is meant to address her discomfort working out in “men-dominated.”

“My past experiences with being in enclosed spaces where it’s very men-dominated have never been super pleasant,” Wu told the Daily Trojan. “There tends to be this problem where I don’t get to take up a lot of space unless I really assert myself. And even then, I face a lot of hindrance in feeling completely comfortable.”

This sounds like nothing more than a personal problem, and it is deranged that the left decided to assign guilt to half the population when no guilt needs to be assigned. Men are not on trial, so it is foolish to pretend as if the entire gender has caused harm. Feelings are not facts, and it is ridiculous to make such a policy based on a handful of women’s feelings.

Things really are not this deep. Nonetheless, because the left almost always implements ambiguous policies based on abstract feelings, this policy is impossible to enforce. All a man has to do is claim they identity as non-binary. Subsequently, this ban on men is not so much a ban as it is a virtue-signaling move. Funny how that works out.
