Location, location, location! That's what they say, right? One "industrious vagrant" has taken the words to heart and built himself a little hut right on the bike path of the Manhattan Bridge in New York. Maybe our little shed-dwelling Houstonian should take some notes.

This man threw together a 16-square foot hovel out of plywood, 2x4s, and cardboard. He even thought about a bathroom (something shed girl didn't)--he has a bucket.

Several officials spoken to by the New York Post expressed some concern. However, as they noted, the police have done nothing. More than likely, they share the same opinion as City Councilman Christopher Marte, whose chief of staff stated, "We are not going to comment on this story and don’t want to bring more trouble to this man’s life."

Because what we should be doing is allowing people suffering from mental health issues, drug dependency, or fallen on severely hard times to just rot on the streets.

This is becoming a common scene in progressive cities nationwide. In California, children must navigate streets strewn with unconscious druggies, used needles, and human feces upon exiting their school buses. No doubt, if this isn't already the case for places like New York, it soon will be.

A local resident told the Post, "That shack is an indication that the [homeless encampments] cancer is coming back. [...] We'll see more shanties like this because that's where people would prefer to stay instead of a shelter where no one cares for you."

Maybe these liberal cities could look at these issues, take a long hard look at the idiots whose policies cause these issues, and start changing the way they vote to get better people in office, but you and I know that isn't about to happen.
