Subway Shooter Andrew Abdullah Turns Himself In, Was Out on Bail When He Killed Man Over the Weekend
Andrew Abdullah, the man police wanted for questioning in a weekend subway murder, turned himself in to police on Tuesday. Abdullah rolled up to the Fifth Precinct in Chinatown in a Rolls Royce and joined by his Pastor.
Police named him as a suspect on Monday in the murder of 48-year-old Daniel Enriquez, who was on his way to brunch. Without provocation, Abdullah is accused to have shot Enriquez just for the sh*ts and giggles of doing so.
The NYPD identified the suspect in the cold-blooded Sunday morning Q-train killing as Andrew Abdullah.

After the alleged murder, The Daily Beast reports, Abdullah handed the gun to a homeless person outside of the subway station where the murder took place. That homeless person sold the gun to another homeless person for ten bucks and some cocaine. Homeless person number two stashed the weapon and told police where to find it.
Abdullah was out on bond for another crime when he allegedly shot Enriquez. The murder is believed to be unprovoked. Abdullah is a known gang member, and there could be a motive there. Also, Abdullah has nineteen prior arrests but was out on the streets. Because this is New York City, and that's how New York City rolls.
Griselda Vile, Enriquez's sister, spoke out over the weekend calling for Mayor Eric Adams to do his damn job. She doesn't have much hope, though. “And the worst part is, even if they catch this person, he’s going to be out again. [...] I wish you guys would go back to Mayor Adams and tell him the city is not safe. My brother just became a statistic on the way to the city. He was shot at close range.”
Mayor Eric Adams is rumored to be considering a presidential run in 2024. While crime has been rampant, he has been busy calling for abortion up until birth and launching a campaign against Florida. Adams also recently stated he is afraid to ride the subway himself.
Abdullah's charges as of this writing are unknown, as is whether or not he's back on the streets for the twentieth time. Because, again, this is New York City.
