Lawmaker goes blackface to make a point against trans activism

NEW: Brazilian politician Fabiana Bolsonaro performs blackface to show trans people that putting dark foundation on her face doesn't make her black, just like changing your body doesn't make you a different gender.

If one can change their gender based on ambiguous feelings, you would think that the same serves true for skin color. Considering that anyone can dress however they wish and label themselves to be any gender, why can this lack of logic be applied to race? And when you add the fact that skin color is extremely insignificant, and that gender does actually mean something, you would assume the left should have zero issues with being trans-racial, don't you think?
That is not the case, as leftists in Brazil are filing ethics complaints against lawmaker Fabiana Bolsonaro (PL), who put on “Blackface” during a session on Wednesday.
According to Folha:
Lawmakers in the São Paulo Legislative Assembly (Alesp) filed a complaint with the Ethics Council seeking the removal of state lawmaker Fabiana Bolsonaro (PL) after she performed blackface by applying dark foundation during a plenary session on Wednesday (18), in protest against the appointment of federal lawmaker Erika Hilton (PSOL-SP), a trans woman, as chair of the Chamber’s Women’s Rights Committee.
During her speech, Fabiana said she had experienced "the privileges of a white person" and questioned whether, by putting on makeup, she had become Black. She also said she was making an analogy with Hilton’s gender identity and described the act as a "social experiment."
Her speech was interrupted by lawmaker Monica Seixas (PSOL), who raised a procedural objection and accused her colleague of transphobia, racism and blackface, requesting the suspension of the session and the broadcast. Session chair Fábio Faria de Sá (Podemos) allowed Fabiana to finish speaking and said the case would be referred to the Assembly’s leadership.
Just think about it. A man was appointed to the chair of a women’s rights commission. If we want to keep the logic logical, a white woman should also serve on an anti-racism commission. Not that you need to be a certain skin color to discuss racism, but you get the point. Nonetheless, the left cannot handle the truth, which is exactly why they engage in selective outrage.
They are not mad that a man took a spot that should have been given to a woman. They are mad that a woman is calling out that absurdity. That is why selective outrage should never be taken seriously, as these people fail to articulate an accurate ideological position.
If they could truly defend their ideas, they would not be trying to silence her with fake ethics complaints. But they can't, which is exactly why they are crying crocodile tears as if that puts them on the right side of history.
What do you think? Was the lawmaker justified in her actions?
