While you struggle to make ends meet at your job, the reality is much different for many non-citizens. Many of these people have decided that working for cash is an American problem, and the worst part is that they are rewarded for this.
📊 NEW DATA: Welfare use among non-citizens in the U.S. varies significantly depending on their country of birth and region of origin.
Non-citizens from Latin America, Sub-Saharan Africa, and the Middle East have the highest rates of welfare use.https://t.co/i1Nrhq4l0W

According to a new report from the Center for Immigration Studies:
Of households headed by non-citizens, 47 percent use one or more traditional welfare programs. This rises to 54 percent when eligibility for payments from the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or the Additional Child Tax Credit are added. The corresponding figures for U.S.-born households are 28 percent and 31 percent.
This means that the welfare population of non-citizens is nearly double that of Americans. The math is not adding up here.
28% of the US born households use traditional welfare programs.
Non-citizen household welfare use rates by region:
Central America: 64%
Caribbean: 58%
South America: 43%
Middle East: 46%
Sub-Saharan Africa: 42%
East Asia: 33%
Europe: 31%
South Asia: 16% https://t.co/I6evy1RY4G pic.twitter.com/qMk3Ch7sss

By sending region, non-citizen households that are most likely to use traditional welfare or have incomes low enough to qualify for the EITC/ACTC, or both, are from Central America (74 percent), the Caribbean (65 percent), South America (53 percent), the Middle East (51 percent), and Sub-Saharan Africa (46 percent). Non-citizens with the lowest percentages are from East Asia (38 percent), Europe (34 percent), and South Asia (19 percent).
If you are surprised by this, you are not paying attention. Isn't it the left that claims that if we don't have illegal immigration, our job production would cease to exist? It turns out, though, the data proves otherwise. But you already knew that, didn't you?
Last week, it was also reported that “Over 60% of illegal alien-headed households are using at least one form of a welfare program, and usually more than one, at a cost of tens of billions of dollars to taxpayers.”
Center for Immigration Studies Director Jessica Vaughan on the burden of illegal aliens on taxpayers:

To state the obvious, this is not beneficial for this great nation. So it begs the question: Why is the left so adamant on open borders, when it solely benefits foreign nationals, all on the taxpayer's dime? Draw your own conclusions, but this may or may not be why the left despises voter ID.
Is it really so much to ask that people start funding their own lifestyles? Apparently so, as the left has made it so that 47 percent of non-citizens now rely on welfare. To call this a slap in the face to the American people living paycheck to paycheck would be an understatement.
