"Christian" reverend says accepting Jesus as your Savior is more of a suggestion and not required to get to heaven

"(Saying) you have to claim Jesus as your Lord and Savior or you won't get to heaven makes no sense."
Rev. Anna Flowers of the United Church in Walpole argues that "I am the way, the truth and the life" is NOT literal, & that there are many valid religions and ways to Jesus. pic.twitter.com/7VfY1Fhhw7

There can only be one true religion. Claiming otherwise, or that all religions are equal, is a direct contradiction of the word of God and has no place in the church.
Common sense would tell you that a church leader should be dedicated to preaching the Gospel and promoting Christianity. The problem with this is that sense is not so common at the United Church in Walpole.
According to Rev. Anna Flowers, claiming that Christianity is the only true religion and that Jesus Christ is the only way to achieve eternal salvation misses the mark. According to Flowers, this claim has been used to condone Christians doing evil things in history, she added. And while I am no reverent, I think it is safe to assume that what she is preaching is, in fact, evil -- and not dedicated to honoring God. But you can draw your own conclusions.
In a clip posted by Protestia, Flowers said the following:
For Millennials, Christians have used those words as proof to do all kinds of awful things in the world. To punish people for not being Christian or their version of Christian. To punish or condemn people for all kinds of beautiful diversity that we see in the world. Not to bless the world, but to condemn it. All kinds of awful things that come from those awful words.
We have to get one thing straight. Jesus did not come to this world to teach a my-way-or-the-highway kind of religion.
According to Flowers, so long as you follow the 10 commandments, love God, be an ethical person, and do the right thing, you will make your way to heaven. She even claimed that people who worship God differently, so much so that they follow zero principles of Christianity, can also obtain eternal life.
I don't have to tell you why her entire speech is asinine -- it goes without saying. But one question that has yet to be answered is this: If she truly despises God’s people this much, so much so she claims you don’t have to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, why is she pretending to lead God’s people? If I did not know better, I might say she is intentionally misleading her Church, but I do know better, so I will not be saying that.
To claim that what she is preaching is evil and in contradiction to God’s word would be an understatement.
