Can anyone name one objectively good thing the LGBT community has done for this country? No? I didn't think so. This is why it is both bizarre and pathetic for people to be outraged over the fact that Northport will honor veterans on lampposts from May through Sept.

Per CBS:

Controversy is swirling in one Long Island village after Pride flags were taken down just as celebrations were ramping up.

The move followed complaints about them hanging above banners honoring local military heroes.

You know it's Pride Month in Northport when rainbow flags hang from lamp posts in Village Park, but this year some of those flags came down.

While it is not right to hate people based on how they "identify," it is also not right to honor people for ambiguous feelings about what they may or may not do in the bedroom. In fact, this is a bit inappropriate. However, honoring people who risked their lives to protect the freedoms of those people is certainly appropriate, and there is 100% a time and place for that. That time and place is now, despite the demands to affirm rainbow mobs all summer long.

The village removed them after the American Legion objected to Pride flags being displayed above "Hometown Heroes" banners honoring vets.

"I had the Pride flags removed. It had nothing to do with my feelings about the Pride community. I support them 100%. I also support our veterans," Northport Mayor Donna Koch said.

Again, you can support the rainbow mob, or you cannot. This is a free country (thanks largely to these vets). The problem is that the left believes this group has done something so beneficial that they are worthy of taking over the lampposts in Northport. But the problem is that it is not possible to name something these people have done, as a collective whole, that made anyone's lives better off. This is why, again, it is not appropriate to honor people simply because they have abnormal preferences on what goes on in the bedroom.

This should not be controversial. It is, though, because the left wants to hijack the culture and turn it into their little attention-seeking game. They are now throwing a hissy fit because they did not get their way. Unfortunately for the rainbow mob, that is nothing more than a personal problem.
