While you were in a backyard or by a lake crushing High Noons, consuming large quantities of meat, and finding things to blow up, Joe Biden blamed small businesses for high gas prices--the same high gas prices that caused many of you to stay in your backyard instead of drive to the lake--or if not Biden himself, someone using the @POTUS Twitter account. DOOCY asked Karine Jean-Pierre, since Biden is blaming gas stations now, does that mean Putin is off the hook?

Their exchange went a little something like this:

DOOCY: Now that Biden is blaming small business, the backbone of America, for high gas prices, does that mean he gave up using Putin?

JEAN-PIERRE: No, it's still the Putin Gas Hike. It's just the Putin Gas Hike that gas stations should be doing something about. Basically, if you have anything to do with gasoline, it's your fault prices are so high?

DOOCY: You mean like this president's war on domestic energy policies?

JEAN-PIERRE: Everything except those.

DOOCY then asked about the latest Jeff Bezos clap back. To KJP's credit, at least she knew what DOOCY was talking about this time. Here's the tweet to refresh your memory. My social media profession friends say we're not supposed to disrespect their craft by claiming an intern writes tweets. I'll say whatever social media professional wrote this @POTUS tweet needs to be blacklisted from social media.
