Rather than go after criminals and uphold public safety, Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner has decided to focus his progressive prosecutorial duties on ICE agents, specifically, the ones helping out TSA. He does this because he believes it makes him compassionate to defend criminal aliens, while he turns a blind eye to the rule of law. Never mind that his job description is literally just that — to uphold the law — because he would rather go after federal officers who have yet to be accused of a crime.

According to Mediaite:

“This is how it works — you commit crimes within the jurisdiction that is the city and county of Philadelphia, I prosecute you. That is how it works. No, I don’t take a phone call from the president saying ‘Let em go.’ No, the president cannot pardon you. I’ll say it again, the president cannot pardon you,” said Krasner.

The DA continued, “And yes, I will put you in handcuffs and I will put you in a courtroom, and if necessary, I will put you in a jail cell if you decide to make the terrazzo floor of this floor anything like you did in the streets of Minneapolis, which involved the criminal homicide of unarmed, innocent people.”

He echoed the same comments on X on Wednesday.

“To anyone who is an ICE agent, thank you for upholding the law and the Constitution of the United States. But if you don’t, you’re gonna find out,” he said while eery music played in the background.

According to the Heritage Foundation, “Thanks to Mr. Krasner, the once-proud and safe city has become a crime hellhole, making it the obvious next target for a federal crime crackdown,” adding that “Allowing violent criminals out on bail is Mr. Krasner’s trademark, so much so that criminals have nicknamed him 'Uncle Larry.’ When he took office, Mr. Krasner implemented a cynical bail scheme that allows him to reduce the number of people in jail pending charges and deflect blame when career criminals who get out on low bail commit new crimes.”

It is a bit bizarre as to why Krasner would spend so much time releasing criminals from prison, which effectively increases crime, while threatening prosecution over officers who have yet to be accused of any unlawful act. Common sense would tell you that if you intend to uphold public safety, you would welcome ICE officers and encourage them to get criminal aliens off the street. Clearly, though, sense is not so common when leftists are in charge.

The fact that he pretends ICE agents are criminals, while their job is to go after the scummiest scum in this country, as Krasner lets convicts out on the street, tells you all you need to know.
