Conservatives have a knee-jerk response to the word "California" and say, "Why cares about COMMIEfornia?" You. You should care. All of the terrible ideas that Democrats get on a national level, they get from California. And those commies are moving to where you live with those bad ideas, because they don't realize they're to blame for voting for those bad ideas.

Like the "billionaires' tax," for example. Turns out, it's a tax on EVERYBODY. Or could be, if people aren't paying attention.

Not paying attention is what democrats hope for, as they put another statewide initiative on the ballot that misleads voters into voting against their self-interests.

This may shock you, but Democrats lie a lot and name legislation things that mask what the legislation actually does.

And this would hardly be the first time Democrats said they were raising taxes on people who make a lot more money than you, then snuck in ways to take away your money. It's kind of their thing. That, and giving your money to illegals.

Here's their schtick now. They tell you billionaires are evil. It used to be that millionaires and billionaires were evil. Then a lot of Democrat elected officials suddenly became millionaires. Now, just the billionaires are evil, and you, who are not a billionaire, should vote to tax them higher under the belief that their money will be redistributed to you.

You're never supposed to read the actual legislation.

On page twenty-six, it explains how the government can convert to an Everyone Tax without voter approval. They can also adjust the tax to be a yearly tax, not just one time…again, without your approval. Here's how the tax would work: As a voter, you're being asked to approve a tax that would require you to:

1. list all your assets and the value of each, then submit them to the California Franchise Tax Board.
2. authorize the tax board to appraise your assets and confirm the value of each.
3. pay a penalty of up to forty percent of your tax bill if the board determines your reported value was too low in their opinion.
4. allow the tax board to subpoena your financial records from every one of your financial institutions for auditing.

This Everyone Tax runs 34 pages of shifty language describing how the government plans to take your assets. Read the fine print and decide for yourself.

Billionaires are fleeing California, along with the jobs their billions created and the revenue from paying more than their fair share to the state. That's why Democrats are pushing a nationwide billionaires tax as the cornerstone of the midterm elections.

From there, and this is just speculation, but if America makes the mistake of putting demcocats back in charge, they'll have something called the "Billioanires Suck ACT" that will be really long, be loaded with things that have nothing to do with billionaires sucking but WILL make your life worse and les affordble, and then claim there is not time to read the bill because if it isn't passed right now, people with literally die literally.

But that's just an educated guess.

California voters can do something about it in California. The rest of us need to pay attention before democrats where we live are inspired to do the same.
