Texas Schools Lean Into Controversy After Passage of 'Don't Say Gay' Bill

There were a few things teachers could do after Florida passed the Parental Rights in Education bill—dubbed the “Don’t Say Gay” bill by its detractors. They could have realized the idea of teaching very young children about sex and gender in a manner aligned with the radical left’s conception of these topics is unpalatable and unsupported among a majority of parents. Or they could take the Disney route and go for broke by pushing even more of this nonsense. Teachers in Texas decided to go full Mickey Mouse!

No one can accuse public school teachers of being intelligent because this stuff is about as stupid as it gets. Welcome to the Kiddie Pride Parade, courtesy of Austin Independent Schools!

Yeah, there’s no indoctrination going on here. Nothing screams, “We aren’t trying to gay up your kids,” like a public-school endorsed pride parade in the school hallways, complete with teachers wearing rainbow masks and waving LGBTQ flags. And this isn’t like some random classroom activity, either. They are marching through the hallways. The administrators know about this.

And if the parades weren’t enough, what about secret group sessions with kindergartners, where they can discuss all manner of Pride Week-related topics without parents knowing.

This isn’t in some blue state. This is in Texas! No public school is safe from the radical left.

Again, teachers could have come to terms with the fact that parents don’t want their children, especially such young children, taught such things by politically motivated ideologues. But teachers cannot help themselves. They’re driven to be ignorant activists. That’s how they were programmed in college. It’s their almost sole purpose.
