There is a reason people never flee the United States in hopes of making a better life in Cuba, and why people flee Cuba for the United States. This is because not many people want to live under a tyrannical regime where food, fuel, and medicine shortages, high inflation, currency devaluation, and failing infrastructure rule their everyday lives. While the U.S. is far from perfect, it sure beats living under Marxist rule. Rep. Pramila Jayapal, however, believes otherwise and has decided to praise their public health system as she tries to back up “Medicare for All.”

According to Politico

“Health care is still the number one cost concern for Americans,” Jayapal said at the POLITICO Health Care Summit. “You cannot be too left on health care.”

Correction: You can be “too left” on health care. This is because every time the left tries to “fix” the problem, they make things not only worse off but exponentially more expensive.

Jayapal pointed to Cuba’s system, before President Donald Trump imposed an oil embargo, as superior to America’s on numerous measures, including cancer detection.

Jayapal, long a booster of universal health care, said her team has reviewed a poll that found the overwhelming majority of Democratic voters, 90 percent, support Medicare for All. The issue has also become more popular among independents, she said. She added that 60 percent of them and 20 percent of Republicans now support it.

According to Jayapal, “Cuba has a remarkable public health system." Now, you do not have to be a Socialist to understand she is naive. Not only do you have to be objectively stupid to believe such a lie, but you also have to be a liar to spread it. So not only is Jayapal a total buffoon, but she also makes things up without having the slightest clue what she is talking about.

While you can pretend the Cuban system is free and offers access to all, is it even possible to classify it as healthcare when you have medicine shortages, failing infrastructure, and a lack of basic supplies to provide this so-called “care?”

Just because you label something as “free” does not make it objectively good. More often than not, when the left promises to make something better, they typically destroy it. And again, you do not have to live under a Marxist regime to realize why Cubans flee to Florida and not the other way around.

Millions of people don't risk their lives in one of the most dangerous currents in the world, with waters heavily populated with sharks, because they are running away from "remarkable" public health. That is not a thing, and the fact that she ignores that proves how stupid she truly is.
