People are growing increasingly heated after Election Day. I don't foresee anything or anyone dialing down the temperature any time soon (see IS JOE BIDEN PRESIDENT-ELECT? THE TRUMP CAMPAIGN SAYS NOT SO FAST ... and ANDREW YANG WARNS DEMOCRATS ON EXTREMISM, IMMEDIATELY GETS PROVEN RIGHT AND TOLD TO [EXPLETIVE] HIMSELF). People are emotional. I get it. But friends, it's never appropriate to call strangers on the phone and tell them to stick markers in orifices that markers shouldn't be stuck in.

I was in airplane mode, so I was blissfully unaware of Sharpiegate while it was happening. I was under the impression that people claiming they were asked to fill in their ballots with a Sharpie marker only to be told that their vote wouldn't be counted took place in Arizona only. Also, let's be honest. It's a Democrat politician. She could very well be exaggerating, if these phone calls even happened at all. It could have happened after her seven-year-old came to her crying because she didn't understand why Florida went to Trump so decisively. The seven-year-olds of Democrats being as woke and politically savvy as their parents claim they are on Twitter.

But it could very well be true. I've just never been so angry about the news that I would call up a legislative assistant and suggest they sodomize themselves with office supplies. Maybe various members of the New York Jets coaching staff. But never an elected official.
