It's understandably buried beneath the presidential race, but one of the stories emerging from election night is just how horrible Democrats did in everything except for the presidential race. Republicans gained seats in the House, didn't lose any state legislatures, and are on track to hold the Senate. Republicans won in places you wouldn't expect them to win in. I'm waking up this morning to the congressional district next to me in New York flipping to Republican, and I had no idea the Democrat even had an opponent. All signs point to the Democrat Party's embrace of leftist/Marxist/progressive/whatever you want to call it social issues that only leftists and Marxists care about. If you question them in the slightest? You're a racist, sexist homophobe. Apparently that turns voters off from your cause.

Here's the best thing about Democrats. Rational people would see that they even lost elections in the Northeast, look in the mirror, and have whatever the progressive equivalent is of a come-to-Jesus moment. Instead, what will most likely happen is leftists will just quadruple down on the crazy. As they immediately did to Andrew Yang.

The best-case scenario is obviously Donald Trump pulling off the win and Republicans holding the White House. The worst-case scenario for the right is Biden wins and is forced to pander to his base that will grow more and more unhinged, just because progressives just can't help themselves. I'm already looking forward to the midterms.
