There was another attempt on Donald Trump's life over the weekend at the White House Correspondents' Dinner. This makes three. A school teacher who sounded like a Democrat Congressman traveled from California to Washington DC, and was thankfully subdued by the Secret Service. Yes, the same Secret Service that the Democrat party isn't paying right now because they want assurances that ICE will stop deporting illegal immigrants. That didn't come up during Donald Trump's interview with Norah O'Donnell on 60 Minutes. Though she did ask about pedophiles.

The shooter released a manifesto where he said, among other things, “I am no longer willing to permit a pedophile, rapist, and traitor to coat my hands with his crimes." O'Donnell asked Trump about it. And then, with a straight face, asked the President why he thought the shooter was talking about him.

See, the shooter only said "him" and didn't specify "Trump." He could have been talking about anybody.

Trump was not amused.

"I am NOT a pedophile. You read that crap from some SICK person."

"Your friends on the other side of the plate are the ones who were involved with Epstein."

"You shouldn't be reading that on 60 Minutes. You are a DISGRACE. Go ahead, let's finish the interview."

An argument could be made that you shouldn't read ANY of the manifesto. But out of everything in it she could have read, one could wonder why O'Donnell chose to read that part.

At some point, an editorial decision was made to focus on that one line and nothing else in the shooter's manifesto. I really wish I had a better understanding of how journalism works. Maybe if more Americans did, they wouldn't consider it the least trusted institution in America.

But Norah O'Donnell is a professional. I'm sure she had a good, ethical reason for focusing on that one part of the manifesto. And also legit had no idea who the shooter was talking about. After all, besides being a professional, she's also not a nincompoop.

The shooter is in custody, leaving the left and the media (but I repeat myself) to wring their hands and have no idea what the shooter's motive is. No, seriously, that's what they're going with. Just ask Barack Obama.
