According to the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles, they are just not going to take it anymore. While they did not confirm what they will no longer be taking or why, this clip was intended to promote its upcoming concert on June 27 & 28.

As the U.S. turns 250, we raise our voices for independence and pride through the songs that have defined generations—from "Defying Gravity" and "Don’t Rain on My Parade" to "Born This Way," "We Shall Overcome," and "Imagine." Featuring an electrifying mix of anthems both personal and political, Declarations of Independence is a powerful celebration of identity, resilience, and the freedom to be heard.
In other words, being gay has a thing or two to do with freedom. You are free to form your own opinions on this, but something tells me this is not quite what the founders had in mind when they declared rights are inalienable and come from God.
According to the choir, “Declarations of Independence are a powerful celebration of identity, resilience, and the freedom to be heard.” Again, call me crazy, but I doubt this was much of a concern 250 years ago. In fact, we can absolutely chalk these “issues” up to First World problems, as none truly exist here.
Now imagine a group of men formed something called the “Straight Men’s Chorus?” The left would never let the people hear the end of it. That tells you all you need to know.
Per the song lyrics:
We'll fight the powers that be, just
Don't pick our destiny 'cause
You don't know us, you don't belong
Again, it is unclear what they are fighting or what powers are against them, but clearly, they are making up problems that exist entirely in the imagination. But what else is new?
