Smithsonian director forced to testify under oath if she still thinks politeness is, quote, “white supremacy”

In2020, in the wake of the BLM riots, the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture decided to lecture the public on all things White Supremacy. What you may have viewed as basic decency was subsequently labeled white supremacy by the museum. This is why Congressman Brandon Gill said what needed to be said.
The museum's director, Anthea Hartig, confirmed that it is important to be polite to others. This is bizarre because according to her own museum, politeness is nothing more than White Supremacy.
Politeness is important, this Smithsonian’s Director says. Her own toolkit calls politeness white supremacy. pic.twitter.com/5Jz7LPeN7f

In the wake of the police killing of George Floyd and subsequent protests over police brutality, interest in “anti-racist” education has exploded among educators and advocates. The case that educators should seek to combat racism seems self-evident. What’s less clear is how the admirable cause of “anti-racism” is fueling, in some corners, the inclination to denounce universal virtues and useful skills as the product of “white culture.”
It is unclear how skin color has suddenly turned into a “culture,” but do you think it is just a coincidence that the same ones pushing those theories also happen to be the most racist among us?
Witness last week’s contretemps at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture. The museum, which bills itself as “the only national museum devoted exclusively” to educating the public on these topics, recently debuted the online guide “Talking about Race.” The guide included a chart cataloguing the “aspects and assumptions” of “white culture” that “have been normalized over time and are now considered standard practices in the United States.”
What are these sinister aspects of “white culture,” you ask? Well, according to the Smithsonian, values like “hard work,” “self-reliance,” “be[ing] polite,” and timeliness are all a product of the “white dominant culture.” Indeed, it turns out that conventional grammar, Christianity, the notion that “intent counts” in courts of law, and the scientific method and its emphasis on “objective, rational linear thinking” are all proprietary to “white culture.”
This is racist on so many levels. Firstly, it implies that people who are not White are lazy, are not self-reliant, and are rude. Not only is this undoubtedly false, but it is rooted in an evil Marxist ideology that hates everything about this great nation. Organizations like the museum don't say these things because they truly believe skin color dictates “culture” and the level of politeness people express, but because they hate everything that makes this nation great.
Other things that allegedly can be attributed to White Supremacy are the nuclear family, Judeo-Christian tradition, Christianity being the norm, respect for authority, planning for the future, and following rigid time schedules. These are all essentially evil parts of "whiteness" that the museum once advocated should be destroyed. The fact that the directory denied this makes it all the worse.
It is unclear if there are people actually stupid enough to buy the lie that politeness is somehow correlated with racism, so draw your own conclusions. The fact that the museum advocated for such an asinine idea should strip it of all its public funds. What a disgrace.
