The only thing politicians should be doing is doing everything in their power to get homeless, drug-addicted zombies off the street. They won't do that, however, because leftist ideology sees homeless people as just more victims of capitalism, despite the problem having nothing to do with lacking housing. This is why it is infuriating that Rep. Maxwell Frost continues to pretend homelessness is not a crime, so that he can make the problem worse.
According to Frost, "You should not be forced to work in exchange for a bed.” He claims that the reason homelessness continues to grow is that rent is too high and inflation is outpacing salaries. And while we can have productive conversations about rent and inflation, it is disingenuous, to say the least, to claim this has anything to do with a lack of housing.

What an idiot. There is a reason that the more the left spends on the homeless, the worse it continues to get. This is because, again, the problem has nothing to do with housing.
According to Florida Politics:
“There’s a growing effort in this country to treat homelessness like a crime instead of what it is — a housing crisis,” Frost said at a Washington news conference. “Homelessness is a housing issue.”
Frost said laws like Florida’s ban on public sleeping, signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis in 2024, were making economic problems worse for those already left without a safe place to live. He called the “despicable” statute a “handcuffs, not housing” law.
If cities actually took his asinine advice, everywhere would turn into another Skid Row.
This is what happens when you pretend the problem lies with having no place to sleep:
🚨BREAKING: Over 200 kids found living on Skid Row, swimming in street pools and shoved into water-filled storage bins with no adults around.

It is not compassionate to turn a blind eye and allow these people to waste away like they don't have inherent worth. And the fact that the left pretends they are compassionate while they increase the homeless population through their fake sympathy proves they not only hate you, but the very people they pretend to help. Totally unacceptable.
