New Migrant Caravan Headed To The U.S.

A migrant caravan is headed to the U.S., with the media reporting that they are currently in Southern Mexico. It is unclear if they know Sleepy Joe is no longer in office.

First, none of them look hungry. Second, that is not how asylum works. You don't get to claim you want to take jobs from Americans because your country has a crappy economy. Third, these “migrants,” who, quite frankly, look like they are doing just fine, are fooling nobody.
Unclear if it is just a coincidence that the midterms are not too far away, so draw your own conclusions.
According to a Fox News article from September:
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued a strong warning to a major migrant caravan that crossed into Mexico and was moving north with hopes of reaching the U.S.-Mexico border.
"USBP is closely engaged with its international partners to monitor their movement and any additional developments," DHS told Fox News in a statement. "[United States Border Patrol] USBP reminds migrants that under the leadership of President Trump and Homeland Secretary Mullin, the border has remained closed and secured for the last 16 months."
The caravan, numbering in the hundreds as of Monday, is predominantly made up of Hondurans, Guatemalans, Salvadorans, Ecuadoreans and Haitians.

What a disgrace.
According to Reuters, these people are headed to the U.S. “in hopes of work and better opportunities for their children.” This is a personal problem and not something the American taxpayer was ever supposed to fund. And while I understand why people would want to “migrate” here, that is not how the system was ever intended to work. By doing this, they believe they are more worthy of the American dream than the people doing this the lawful way, many of whom have waited years to get approved. It truly is astonishing the level of entitlement these third-worlders have before they even make it to the first world.
