Trump Officials met for a frank discussion about the midterms; these data points stand out bigly

Trump Chief of Staff Suzie Wiles, a bunch of cabinet secretaries, and close to 100 more members of Team Trump met on Tuesday night for a midterm strategy session.
This is based on Mark Halperin's anonymous sources. I know some of you will be all like, "I don't trust anonymous sources," and I get that. The thing is, Suzie Wiles and the Trump team don't choose to hold a meeting at the Capitol Hill Club with almost one hundred people unless they want it to leak to the media.

Last night on Capitol Hill, the senior Trump political command briefed its core team on the midterms.
Some of what occurred was previously reported on by @SophiaCai99 of @politico.
Here is a more detailed account, according to one of the attendees at the meeting at the…

Pollster and strategist Tony Fabrizio and political czar James Blair were holding court. Here's what stands out to me.
The economy will be THE issue in the election, he said. Messages that break through: Banning stock trading for Congress, transparency on health insurance data (including on pricing and claims reimbursement), lowering prescription drug costs, the Trump tax cuts. Housing affordability is a huge issue for voters, especially young people. Taking credit for closing the border does not resonate much.
The border thing surprised me. I get it, because the attention has been more geared toward mass deportations, so the border -- and the fact that Trump was able to seal it with ONLY enforcing existing laws -- is out of sight and out of mind. The Trump tax cuts will be interesting as more people file their returns. All I'll say is the people I know who have already have become MORE of a Trump supporter.
Housing is a tough nut to crack, but it's not like the left has any solutions other than a noun and a verb and the Epstein Files.
Men, moderates, true independents, and Hispanic voters are the true persuadable voters.
It's the usual group, though notable considering recent reports that Hispanic voters were fleeing Trump over his common-sense illegal immigration reform. A lot of that depends on who is doing the polling, which specific questions are used, and how they are worded. Because when it came to voting in 2024, Hispanic voters came out to vote FOR Donald Trump and his common-sense illegal immigration reforms.
Facebook is still king for voters, then Instagram and TikTok.
I don't know how this is possible, because Facebook has turned into a complete ASS. Outside of ads, your timeline is nothing but cheap AI slop and engagement bait from accounts you never signed up for. Yet if your friend shares a picture of their kid or something they BBQed, you'll get a notification asking if you "want to see more content like this."
He acknowledged that Donald Trump will do what he wants to do, say what he wants to say, not be data driven. Everyone else has to stay on message and be driven by the data. In effect, two separate but related campaigns.
This is always the problem, because sometimes Trump needs to talk less. Trump has had YUGE accomplishments. Yet anytime he cries that something he doesn't want to talk about is a "hoax" or goes on an angry boomer rant because someone was mean to him on television, it distracts from the accomplishments. Which is what the haters and losers want.
And if you make that case—that Trump needs to dial it back a bit—you're accused of "wanting it all" and of needing to focus on how much worse President KamaLOLa would be. You got me there. I do want it all. After voting for Trump and not Kamala, I want Trump to stop distracting from all his accomplishments, so that we don't lose the House and the Senate, so that he doesn't get impeached a third time, so that Democrats don't win in 2028.
We'll see how his State of the Union goes next Tuesday, which will be the unofficial but totally official kick-off of the midterms. We have A LOT to campaign on. Prayers up, we are able to do so effectively, without letting ourselves get baited into every leftists and media (but I repeat myself) driven distraction.
