An Irish teacher who refused to use transgender pronouns for a student has now been jailed for 600 days. To make matters worse, his sister and mother have also been taken into custody after they visited Irish teacher Enoch Burke.

According to Newstalk:

Yesterday, Martina and Ammi Burke were arrested at Castlerea Prison, where they were understood to be visiting their son and brother, Enoch.

Earlier last month, Mr Justice Brian Cregan ordered the pair be jailed for two weeks for repeated disruption of court proceedings related to their brother.

On Newstalk Breakfast, solicitor and former Law Society President Stuart Gilhooly noted Enoch Burke has now spent more than 600 days in prison for refusing to comply with court orders to stay away from Wilson’s Hospital School.

The fact that this man is in jail for grammatically correct speech tells you everything you need to know about our Irish allies. At one point in history, prison terms this long were used for actual criminals, especially those in which a victim was involved. But, since the left cannot handle the truth, an innocent teacher has been jailed, all because he refused to call a student “they.” You truly cannot make up for this level of insanity.

To make matters worse, his mother and sister have also been taken into custody because the judge has deemed them too disruptive during court proceedings. Unsure how disruptive someone has to be before it becomes a jailable offense, so draw your own conclusions.

When authorities start jailing you because you affirm the truth, that tells you everything you need to know — and is exactly what every dystopian novel warns us of. It is unclear how many more days the teacher will spend in jail, but we can be certain he will not be released anytime soon, as the left demands he affirm falsehoods at the expense of truth. To call this deranged would be an understatement.
