Only in California would dogs start being exposed to meth on their nighttime walks -- and that is exactly what happened to one couple's pup in the Hollywood Hills.

A dog has been hospitalized after she accidentally ingested meth on a walk.

According to KTLA:

While visiting North Hollywood Park, Uni began sniffing around. Soon after, they noticed the dog’s condition had changed drastically.

“Drooling, diarrhea, all of it,” Jenifer told KTLA’s Chris Wolfe. “We checked her gums, they were white.”

While she was uncertain as to what could have been going on with her pooch, she recalled an article from KTLA where another LA dog had ingested the drug. This is what prompted her to urge the vet to drug test the canine.

“Everybody was just shocked,” she said. “They said her temperature was 106 degrees, which, anything above that could cause brain damage, organ failure. They were working for about 45 minutes to an hour trying to get her temperature to drop.”

In the previous case that KTLA covered, the dog’s owners noticed their canine was agitated, jumpy, panting, had an elevated heart rate and a 103-degree fever. With proper medical attention, he survived, but doctors said that an animal could easily die from ingesting a narcotic like meth.

It is great that both pups were able to fully recover, but it is important to note that this stuff is only possible because of leftist policies. Due to a culture that is permissive towards drugs, so much so that possession charges no longer hold the same legal weight, it is unsurprising to see more and more people resorting to these substances. That, combined with the Los Angeles zombie apocalypse, aka homeless encampments, is no surprise that the entire city is infested with drugs.

This time, a dog ingested the drug. Next time it could be a child. Officials must get their act together before someone truly gets hurt. The fact that drugs are just blatantly on the street like that is a direct result of leftist degenerate policies, and people need to start taking these things seriously.
