Michigan governor caught on hot mic bragging to tech CEO how much she loves ignoring her voters

Democrat Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer was caught on hot mic with Oracle CEO Clay Magouyrk, INSULTING locals and bragging about how she ignores their concerns.

It is not surprising that the woman who banned people from buying seeds to grow their own food during the pandemic hates her voters. It's not even surprising that she would admit so out loud. But to be caught saying so out loud, it su-diddly-ucks to be Gretchen Whitmer's PR team.
The Gretch was caught having a kibitz with Oracle CEO Clay Magouyrk after they broke ground on a new data center that the people who voted for Whitmer aren't happy about.

Things seem so much more on the level when the governor has control over the messaging.

I don't know the fine details of the specific controversies surrounding this specific data center. Other than the town board voted 4-1 AGAINST it. Yet there's Gov. Whitmer taking a phone call from millionaires and billionaires...

It's also difficult to cut through the noise. You have China, which wants to win the AI race, and may or may not be behind all the misinformation being spread via TikTok.
You have a bipartisan group of American elected officials who either believe the misinformation, or repeat it because it's good for their brand.
Then you also have the tech CEOs who support AI, yet manage to make you oppose AI every time they open their mouths about AI. Sam Altman sounds like a James Bond villain half the time. And the other half of the time he sounds like Thanos.
Maybe the next time Gerald drones on and on and on (and on and on and on) about AI, I'll pay attention and take notes. That will be a blog post for another time.
Today, let's just revel in Gretchen Whitmer's embarrassment. She's terrible. AWFL, even.
