This is America. In America, you have this little thing called “rights.” Under that umbrella, there exists this notion that people were born with the freedom to express themselves. This concept is so crucial under the Bill of Rights that a government has no power to restrict an individual from exercising those rights. This is why it should be a bigger scandal that the Mayor and Vice Mayor of Sacramento were caught discussing how to ban people from making their voices heard.

Per KCRA:
Sacramento Mayor Kevin McCarty and Vice Mayor Karina Talamantes were caught on a hot mic discussing ways to address disruptions during city council meetings after a contentious session Tuesday night.
The discussion followed the council's approval of a grant from the Central California Intelligence Center. Disruptions in the crowd prompted Mayor McCarty to pause the meeting and clear the chambers.
"We should go over this disruption thing, because if we want to ban somebody in the future, like to actually take them out, we have to point them out specifically," Talamantes said.
When the government starts banning people from making their voices heard, you are officially living under tyranny.
"I know, but the City Attorney said we can't do that," McCarty replied.
You cannot do that because it goes against every principle this country was founded on.
Talamantes responded, "We did it last time."
McCarty added, "We can't. I spent my first six months going over this. I wanted to give people, like, probation, like you can't come."
The audio ended when Talamantes realized the microphone was on and quickly turned it off.
If these two cannot have the conversation for the public to hear, that tells you all you need to know. Clearly, many people on the Sacramento City Council are not here to represent you -- the American people, as they try to find loopholes into how they can ban people they do not like. Again, you cannot do that in America, and to call this tyrannical overreach would be an understatement.
