Last week, President Donald Trump said Lindsay Clancy did a “terrible thing.” While this is an understatement, it proves just how much he condemns the crimes of the child killer. This, combined with the fact that the president has no authority over state crimes, makes it exceptionally bizarre that her lawyer, Kevin Reddington, is asking the president to consider pardoning the women who, once again, killed her own children.

I find it hard to believe he doesn't know the president has no such power. So, why do you think he is pulling such a stunt if he knows nothing will come of it? Could it be because he is trying to sway the future jury of TikTokers? Draw your own conclusions.

Per the New York Post:
“Mr. President, I would hope that you would consider this young lady – the type of person she is and what she’s been through – and consider a pardon,” he told “Good Morning America” when asked what was next for Clancy after her high-profile case ended in a mistrial Friday.
The veteran 75-year-old lawyer made no mention of how he expected Trump to get involved, given that Clancy is only facing state charges, which presidents have no power to pardon. He also did not say if he hoped such unprecedented intervention would stop a second trial or save the killer if she were convicted.
Reddington only said that he hoped Trump would weigh in given that he had “felt compelled to speak out about this case,” without noting how he’s said the mom would have to “pay the price” for killing her three children: Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and baby Callan, 8 months.
Here are the president's comments on the matter:

“She did a horrible horrible thing. Can’t be worse”

According to Trump, what she did “Can’t be worse.” This is putting it lightly. And the fact that the killer's lawyer continues to intimidate public opinion with little stunts like this proves there is no low too low for him to stoop to. But you already knew that, considering the evil woman he is defending.
RIP Cora, Dawson, and Callan. They deserved far better than what their mother did and continues to subject their memory to. Justice cannot come soon enough.
