Stephen A. Smith says he was warned by his estate planners to leave California every weekend because the government would TRACK his phone calls, then uses that data to collect MORE taxes.
He thought they were kidding. Then he got his tax returns. They weren’t.

Stephen A. Smith is an interesting character when it comes to politics. Sure, he'll still be a vote for Democrats, so Republicans will have to figure out how to win with one less vote in New York. But he's someone who has access to a mainstream audience, and if he wants to bash democrats to them, great. It gives us an opening, like when he exposes how California democrats track you by your phone so that they can take more of your money away.
California has what it calls the "Jock Tax." If you don't live in California but your work brings you to California, it's an excuse for California to tax your income for however many days you are in the state.
As Stephen A. found out, that meant the state government tracking him when he was on his phone...
I’m sitting down with my estate planners and all of that. And they said, ‘Look, when the weekend arrives, it would be in your best interest to go to Vegas or to Utah or something.’ I said, ‘Why?’ And they said, ‘Well, if you stay in California, you know, IRS, they ping your phone. So, anytime you get a call or you’re on the phone, they know that you’re in the state. And that counts as a tax day.’
Some of you may be saying, "Hey Brodigan, who cares? Stephen A. Smith makes more money than I do and that makes me emotional."
Ok, so some of YOU aren't saying that. But your leftist cousin no one wants to be around may be posting similar sentiment on her Facebook page.
What if it's not a "jock tax?" What if instead it's the American Rescue Plan, where the People Who Controlled Joe Biden rescued Americans from their money if they made more than $600 and were paid via Venmo or PayPal?
When Congress passed the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, it included a provision that reduced the reporting threshold to a single transaction over $600.
Before this year, the threshold for filing a Form 1099-K report was at least 200 transactions totaling an aggregate of at least $20,000.
The IRS is interested in transactions involving part-time work, side gigs, and selling goods, according to the agency.
When you give Democrats unbridled control, they look for ways to take you money away from you regardless of how much of it you make.
Look at California's "Billionaire Tax," where they want Californians who aren't billionaires to vote to raise money on those who are. Then, after everyone votes for the alleged "billionaire" tax...
On page twenty-six, it explains how the government can convert to an Everyone Tax without voter approval. They can also adjust the tax to be a yearly tax, not just one time…again, without your approval. Here's how the tax would work: As a voter, you're being asked to approve a tax that would require you to:
Anything Democrats say they are going to do to take money away from people who have more of it than you to will be used to, eventually, take away more of your money as well. They're just sneaky about it.
