A woman who appears to have an obsession with tanning claims she was almost arrested by ICE because of the color of her skin. There are more questions than answers as of the writing of this.
Patricia Krentcil claims ICE approached her and asked her if she was an American citizen, which she believes has everything to do with her skin color.
Woman claims she was approached by ICE and asked if she was an American citizen because she had such a dark tan."Because I was so tan, they were about to handcuff me... and take me away, God knows where..." Patricia Krentcil said on the Light. Tan. Up. show.Area 51, maybe? https://t.co/EpjaWYfANm

While I won’t claim her story is fiction, I will claim this is hard to believe. And I am also not here to mock her appearance, but I will say that something seems very, very off with it. You can draw your own conclusions.
Per TMZ:
Patricia "Tan Mom" Krentcil claims she nearly ended up in handcuffs after an encounter with ICE agents ... and she believes her famously dark tan made her a target.
Even if some federal agents profile people based on skin color, which I hardly doubt there is, nothing about her appearance necessarily screams “foreign national.” Unsure what nationality she believes they may have confused her with, but illegal aliens certainly do not come to mind.
During a recent episode of her "Light Tan Up" podcast with friend and co-host Adam Barta and guest Tom Arnold, Tan Mom recalled walking out of a restaurant with her girlfriend when she says ICE agents stopped her and questioned whether she was an American citizen.
Is she just some massive troll? What is even this story?
Patricia says she told the agents she was a U.S. citizen ... but claims the situation nearly escalated to the point where she was going to be handcuffed and taken away, all because of her dark complexion.
Again, while I won’t be calling her a liar, I will be claiming this story is very, very hard to believe, so much so that I am unsure if this is satire.
"Because I was so tan, they were about to handcuff me,” she said, adding that they were about to “take” her “away,” and only “God knows where. And all I have left to say is: How is this not considered Blackface?
