I'm speaking as Brodigan here because I think my biases are clear. Politics is a zero-sum game and I will support whoever has the red jersey on in November 2024 and will get leftists out of the White House. Until he gives me a reason to think otherwise, Ron DeSantis is my guy.

That said, this is clown sh*t.

Donald Trump is attempting to convince Floridians and conservatives not to believe their lying eyes about Ron DeSantis doing a stellar job in Florida. And in the process of doing so, is praising a leftist twat like Charlie Crist. Forget that this is lame, weak, low-energy, and sad. Charlie Crist? MAGA marks are going to praise Charlie Crist because they think it's a dunk on Ron DeSantis? Is accusing DeSantis of promoting butt plug porn next? Because if the Trump plan is going to be to repeat any leftist attack against DeSantis, he might as well go all the way.

The babyish name-calling and keyboard warrior attacks are terrible for two reasons. One, Trump looks weak as DeSantis won't even say his name. Big dog doesn't acknowledge little dog. DeSantis is acting like a rottweiler showing other GOP governors how to fight for families. Trump looks like an overweight chihuahua yipping at the clouds because no one is paying attention to him.

Two, and most important, Donald Trump has to be the only Republican in America who doesn't realize what a stellar record Donald Trump has.

If Trump ran on his record -- pointing to how Biden has made things so dire there is no room for on-the-job training for the next president -- that's a solid hit and something DeSantis is going to have to combat. It would make Trump look like a leader.

All he looks like so far is a giant baby.
