CNN is a silly content-creating network, though Scott Jennings and "We're Just Wild About" Harry Enten provide us with endless amounts of entertainment. Jennings for being the sole voice of reason when his brain goes into kill mode. Enten because of the animated way he analyzes polling data. At least, when we agree with the data. Otherwise, he is fake news.
Harry looked at polling data in light of Donald Trump's common sense Washington DC reform and Democrats finding a new 80-20 issue to be on the wrong side of. Though this one is more of a 91-9 issue.
These numbers are before Trump's DC takeover, but of note:
- Trump has a fourteen point swing in how he handles crime
- There is a TWENTY-SEVEN point gap between Trump and The People Who Controlled Joe Biden
- Republicans lead Democrats by sixteen points when it comes to handling crime
That last number, I'm guessing, is because of all the crime-ridden Democrat controlled cities that not only let the crime happen but also pass laws and policies that encourage it. The people living in those cities keep voting for the same failures time and time again, but outside in Real America (aka the suburbs), we watch it and say "No" when it comes to voting.
It will be interesting to see what the polling says about factors in Trump's DC takeover. What usually happens is a round of bad polling, because it's based on the mis- and disinformation spread by the media and Democrats (but I repeat myself) about the Trump policy of the day. Then numbers swing in the other direction once people experience the actual policy.
This time is a little different, because while some of the usual suspects in the Democrat Party and the media (but I repeat myself) are crying "But January 6th" and others are claiming DC is 30% less violent than it was during the crack epidemic, others are begrudingly admitting that a) DC is in fact a violent suckhole and b), Democrats walked into another Trump trap.
