'I just asked the universe to give me a couple minutes': Man rushes in to save woman from burning SUV

There are times when I think there's nothing left to call redeeming about this world. When creeps steal from children and bystanders watch as crimes are committed without doing anything, it's difficult to remember there are good people in this world, but there are, and Daniel Boscaccy is one of them.

When Boscaccy noticed a horrific car accident that caused an SUV to burst into flames, he noticed no one was doing anything to help, so he did something. He grabbed a sledgehammer and became a hero.

"It felt like what I needed to do in the moment. I didn't see anybody else doing anything. Thankfully, somebody had a sledgehammer. I just asked the universe, like, give me a couple minutes."

The universe (what some of us might call God) must've been listening because it gave him the time he needed to save the woman. And while we here at Louder with Crowder Dot Com are pretty quick to slap the hero label on guys who literally run into fires to save people, Daniel Boscaccy isn't quick to accept the title.

"I'm so thankful that nobody died. The heroes are the people who do this every day, and I don't think they get enough credit. The EMTs, the firefighters, the police. When you can help, you should."

The world sucks. Plenty of sh*t going on in America these days sucks. But it's people like Daniel Boscaccy who give me hope that we have a shot to turn it around. Thank you, Boscaccy, for giving an old pessimist like me a little hope. And another thank you goes out to this man's parents for raising an awesome human being.
