WATCH: Remy's New Rap Mocks the Insanity of Canceling Heroes Over Old Tweets
Everyone has done and/or said stupid things. It's all part of the human experience and growing up. Therefore one of the really stupid things in which modern media has engaged is combing through someone's past tweets in order to taint, if not ruin, who they are now. This practice was most recently applied to a local hero who raised money for sick kids. Watch Man Raises $1 Million for Charity, Media Ruins It Over Old Tweets. Here to tackle what can only be described as insanity, our good friend Remy. Enjoy:
Unless what you did in high school was torture animals and/or committed violent crimes, then what you did in high school and before doesn't matter. No one's adult accomplishments should be overshadowed by actions resulting from basic immaturity. Up to and including being a member of the Young Democrats, Vegans for Choice, or thinking scrunchies were a perfectly fine go-to for eloquent hair styling. Let's not also forget that silly trend of wearable sleeve tattoos. You people know who you are. You should feel deep shame. Deep.
Though Brett Kavanaugh is the most famous target for alleged (but not even close to provable) actions from long, long, long, long, long ago, there wasn't a Twitter when he was a wee lad. But Kevin Hart, James Gunn, and other randos haven't been so lucky as to escape a burning from our Internet Tweet Trials.
It's as if the left expects everyone to perfectly conform to their dogma forever.
