ICE and border patrol were on the "hotseat" Monday as they testified before Congress about Donald Trump's deportation efforts. Of course, this means the pro-illegal immigration Democrat Party mugging for the camera and repeating whatever their aides copied off of Bluesky. Seriously. One of them entered an AI-generated photo into the record without noticing that the ICE agent in it didn't have a head.

Rep. Eric Swallows is someone we depend on to be the most sanctimonious and cringeworthy. Since he is also running to be governor of California, he needed to be a little extra yesterday. He demanded ICE Director Todd Lyons resign after "arresting" a "five-year-old."

You know Liam, right? The left's latest attempt at using an out-of-context photo for propaganda? Knowing if they lie, they can count on most of the media to swear by it? I know the real story. You know the real story.

I find it perplexing that Rep. Swallows didn't think the ICE director would.

SWALLOWS: Will you resign from ICE?

LYONS: No.

SWALLOWS: Why not?

LYONS: Because the child that you're showing right there, the men and women of ICE took care of him when his father abandoned him and ran from law enforcement.

SWALLOWS: ...

I'm not sure what kind of moment Rep. Swallows was hoping for. No one gave him the memo to move off of Liam, and the new most pressing issue is either a gorilla meme or that Bad Bunny is the new 2028 Democrat frontrunner.

Also, and this point needs to be made, this isn't the first time Democrats have run this play. Last October, they tried running the "ICE is using a five-year-old as bait" scam, which included NBC News repeating it and Rep. Omar calling for ICE to be dismantled. Then, much like with Liam, the facts came out:

The criminal undocumented Democrat has already been arrested for domestic abuse, strangulation, and vandalizing property.

He's the one who abandoned the five-year-old, who was HIS DAUGHTER.

ICE officers helped rescue the child and called the police to report she had been abandoned.

Another swing and a miss from Rep. Swallows.
